About Audio Renaissance...

Growing up in Penfield, NY, Audio Renaissance owner Craig Sypnier has been a very passionate music lover since his earliest childhood. Music was always playing somewhere in the home where he grew up, in part courtesy of having so many brothers and sisters. All of these many musical influences were indelible on him. Very early on, he understood that high quality music reproduction would always play a central role in his life. His late mother, Delores, was an outstanding pianist; she was fond of playing the classics by Brahms and Beethoven among others. Both his oldest silblings (brother Rob and sister Deb) each had deep collections of what is now considered classic pop and rock music for him to listen to. Audio Renaissance, then, is as much about the here and now of helping today's customers as it is about paying homage to his family for this "musical" education he received.

It has been Craig's dream to want to open his own shop for almost twenty five years. With a personal lifetime of audio experience under his belt which includes building, testing and modifying gear, making live recordings on both analog tape & digital DSD disc (as well as  overseeing ownership of a large personal music collection in most any type of playback format one can name), the time has finally come to bring this dream to reality.

Any turntable must be properly set up and maintained if it is to both sound it's best, and treat each LP played as kindly as possible. These singular facts are considered Audio Renaissance's core main mission. With an Analog Revival happening right now, A/R is more than ready to share this wealth of personal experience with fellow music lovers. People are looking to enjoy the very same things that have brought Craig so many countless hours of aural joy over the years. He is here to assist people in their choice of the best turntable, accessory or other products for their needs and budget.

Stop in to say hello, grab a fresh cup of coffee, and benefit from Craig's enthusiasm and experience with all things analog! There are always at least 12 or more reconditioned turntables available for audition. There are even a pair(!) of open reel recorders on hand for playback of either pre-recorded tapes, or Craig's own master tapes of local artists. Audio Renaissance is truly a musical shop like no other- Come by and see for yourself!
